yes... but difficult to keep the needle in position in smaller vessels, that's why modified Seldinger Technique is used in infants

Trying to gain a better understanding of what this all is.. Thanks for explaining and showing more about this. This popping was a part of the cause of my grandmother’s death a few weeks ago.. 😢 It’s been difficult, but I’m happy she isn’t suffering anymore. She couldn’t breathe and her copd quickly turned into emphysema. I miss her so much.

I assume when the test is completed, the balloon catheter is withdrawn. ?
Usually PA catheter is inserted for continous pulmonary artery pressure monitoring in post cardiac patients or critically ill patients. So they are removed once the patient is stabilised or hemodynamics improves...

i was diagnosed with an isolated left svc as an infant and going to cardiologists every year gave me a life long love of anatomy :)! love the video super informative but not so full of jargon it’s hard to follow
